I'm Alyssa Adul, a 19-year-old writer and multimedia artist currently finishing my undergraduate degree in AB Interdisciplinary Studies with Tracks in Communication and Computer Science: Multimedia at the Ateneo de Manila University.

A firm believer of finding poetry in everything, my writing and visual arts are heavily inspired by the mundane and the domestic. I look for stories in my daily commute, the lunches I enjoy, to even a trinket I happen to find on the sidewalk.

My written works have been featured in the Inquirer's Young Blood Archives, Vantage Magazine by The GUIDON, as well as having had to opportunity to fellow in Ateneo HEIGHT's 2024 Writing Workshop. Some of my graphic design and video editing pieces can be found in the promotional materials for the Ateneo Fine Arts Department's theater production, Lagnat Laki.

I started picking up my pen in third grade making my own skits, and then it transitioned to the discovery of my love for journalism in sixth grade. Since then, I've been part of my school newspaper publication, The Familian, where I became Editor-in-Chief for two years before graduating. Entering university, I've been part of The GUIDON's Vantage Magazine staff. I specialize in writing about film, food, and anything culture that satisfy both my taste buds and love for art and media. Besides these, I pen the occasional short stories and poems about religion and queerness. 

I've been a self-taught digital illustrator and video editor since 2020, and I've been posting my works on Instagram and Twitter since then. Because of this, I am currently pursuing a multimedia track in university where it has helped me develop my skills in industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, as well as 3D Modeling and Animation using Blender. 

Besides personal art posted on my own social media accounts, my graphic design and video editing works have been featured as promotional materials for the Ateneo Fine Arts Department's production of Lagnat Laki. I have also done layouts for the Charlie Co Collection in the Ateneo Art Gallery during my volunteer internship at the museum. 

I also have experience in creating art commissions, as well as selling merchandise in art fairs such as Patron of the Arts.
